Services the Fire Marshal Division Provides

The Fire Marshal Division works closely with the community to reduce fire risk and enhance life safety. Services include fire inspections, construction review, open burn permits, and public education.

To promote efficiency and effectiveness in our permitting program, Durango Fire Protection District has implemented OpenGov, an electronic permitting system that streamlines the application process.

As part of the initial implementation, Open Burn Permits and Fire Code Plan Reviews will be processed through the OpenGov portal. Selecting either of these permit types below will direct you to OpenGov to begin your application. All other permit links will continue to direct you to the appropriate forms hosted on our website and will transition to OpenGov at a later date.
